ReMix: Bomberman 'Bomberfuzz'
This is a very memorable and catchy lil Prodigy-esque techno mix from newcomer Fuzz, extremely well-suited to the cute-n-chaos style of the Bomberman series. Simply put: it rocks. Using very evocative, well-mixed synth textures, fantastic rhythmic Japanese cutesy vocal samples, heavy techno drums, and breaking down into a major-key interlude for the main melody and then back into the jive with a beautiful "Speedu Up!" sample, it's just pure, rockin' fun. Like I said, it truly captures all that is manic, spontaneous, lightning-quick, cute, and fun about the Bomberman games, for me. It's almost like playing the damn game. Plus it comes full-circle for the ending, and probably "vitalizes body and mind" more than three Red Bulls in a row (which I've tried and can attest to). Yatta - highly recommended, and I'm now waiting for Fuzz's next piece.

This has a very strong Viewtiful Joe sound to it, what with the
catchy speed music and the anime voices screaming various phrases.
Very reminiscent, even though the mix precedes the game.
I loved the mix, to tell the truth. The voices didn't grate on me
at all, and they especially didn't do anything but enhance the
melody for me. It's a great, fast moving piece that I always get a
little surprised at when it appears on my playlist. It's also quite
infectious, in the best way possible of course.

Ahh, what an energetic remix. The voices freak out our cats. The
"bombu"-section has them too loud perhaps, I can take it but I can
definitely understand why many find them irating. Otherwise the
voices are used excellently and provide plenty of motion into an
already high-speeding piece. Great work (and props for Fast
Tracking!), I too wish Fuzz had more tracks on this site.

I disliked the vocals (They are ok, but there are too many of
them), and this song clips something FIERCE on my setup.
It's a shame, this song rocks otherwise.

One of the few remixes that got the remixing part right. This isn't
just a retelling, this is a REMIX. It faintly resembles the
original, but the original elements override all to get the little
bopping original into the rough, distorted, fast world that this
song creates. This is one of the few songs that is not only a great
remix, but actually a great remix.

I like everything about this one. Fast, driving beat, humorous
sound effects, and great instrumentation. 9.5/10

Really like this remix. Someone actually made an AMV (Anime Music
Video) to this song, you can go find it at
www.animemusicvideos.org .

Wow. Now that is just a sweet tune. Very well done, fuzz. By that,
I mean excellent. And by that, I mean I love it.

The Bomberman voice confuses me in respect of this remix. For me it
passes an ackward message. Fuzz is a good remixer, but this voice
annoys me!

1 word... WTF?!?! this song is rather... interesting!
gotta love the voice samples, but still man...
i love the song in general, still a bit weird tho
- Cheeszeman_ on October 11, 2004
From what I can tell, the voice samples in that one section are
calling out different colors of bombs:
"Shiro bomu" (white bomb)
"Aka bomu" (red bomb)
"Kuro bomu" (black bomb)
"Ao bomu" (blue bomb)
And of course, the other samples are "Bomber Man!", "Hyper
Bomber!", "Speed Up!", and "Yatta!". :)
Of course, this is from someone who knows only a little bit of
Japanese, so take it with a grain of salt...

YATTA!! I love it, I love it, I looooove it!!!
- misao on June 21, 2004
Although this song is drawn out a tad, it truely has the touch of
attention. Great job, it makes me want to stay awake and not cover
my ears.

Man, I just love this song! This was one of the first songs I
played here on OCRemix, and when I heard this, I was hooked. It's a
shame Fuzz never submitted any other Remixes.
