This might be the most meditative, introspective mix yet from RebeccaETripp, who eschews a steady drum beat for impressionistic, almost jazzy cymbals, paired with mixed world/folk instrumentation for a mysterious, contemplative tone:

"This is my arrangement of the "Lakebed Temple" theme from Legend of Zelda, Twilight Princess. The original composers for TP were Toru Minegishi, Asuka Ohta, and Koji Kondo. I use Ableton Live and a bunch of VSTs. :)

In this remix, I wanted to increase the overall sense of beauty and magic. The Lakebed Temple is a frustrating puzzle dungeon, and the atmosphere is sometimes a bit oppressive, however, it is also very sacred and visually gorgeous! I wanted to focus on that aspect a bit more. Twilight Princess is agreed to have the best dungeons.

The piccolo and pan flute parts were performed by Gamer of the Winds! I really like working with him. ^^"

Rebecca's collaborations with Gregory have been universally wonderful; may they continue unabated long into the future :) This has less form/rhythmic structure than even some of Rebecca's more mystical & meditative work, and functions as more of an exploratory drone/atmosphere than something procedural or narrative. Liontamer evaluated:

With the additive assist from Greg, Tripp changed the mood of the source tune from spooky to mystical, so, short-and-sweet, I'd call her ambition with this piece a success."

As would I; not something you're gonna dance to (I mean, I'm not *stopping* you...) or sing in the shower, but a transporting, rich environment that achieves & explores its space thoughtfully. Excellent work from Rebecca & Gregory!

I enjoyed the various instruments used, it made for an enjoyable soundscape. Very unique remix, and very cool! ?

It has been a long time since I played Twilight Princess, so i had to go back and listen to the source in order to hear what has been done to this remix. It's good, its really good, but every time I have listened to it I have hit the end and tried to figure out why my computer stopped making sound. I want to listen to more of this, without repeating the song over and over :D
