Top Gear 'Track 1 (Final Nitro Mix)'

Rayza uses a lot of samples to give this track the feel that it deserves. The music is no slouch at all, either. I love the very nice drum work, and a nice bassline. This is one game that I have played a lot of, and even attempted to remix this specific song (as well as a few others) myself, failing miserably, of course. But Rayza really puts it where it’s at with this piece, excellently driven Rayza, way to save that Nitro for the perfect moment.

This is one of my most beloved SNES-soundtracks. It really whops ass!

The original game hadn't to many song and this is the best one.

I really like the Formula 1 cars flying through the speakers and the speakers voice; "And it is...GO!". And then the beauty starts.

Another part that amazed me was in the middle of the song when the melody disappears. The bass is pumping and the speaker shouts; "Here they come another time..." and the cars flying by...Rayza did a wonderful job with those snare-effects. Inspired of Warp Brothers maybe?

You know i've played topgear long enough to tell that this is a great remix, it keeps the game-ish feel to it, and still makes you feel in a race. And you know that i love that in songs.

You keep faithfull to the best song in the entire soundtrack, and im still loving it, even though i played it for several years, and beat it several times as well. Im glad you honor this game so well with such a well-mastered mix of the orignal

You should get a lot of credit for this.

Great job, it really gives it all that it could have been. Although my only criticism (which was my own fault) is that it's a bit faster than when I wrote it, (might have been a PAL/NTSC issue)

Anyways, loved the speech, really gave it that "instant remedy" kinda feel.

Getting props from the original composer himself is always great. Arrangement was conservative, but worked well from an expansive standpoint.

The extra beats added at 3:22 pretty much buried some very subtle support instrumentation ideas that had also been added at the point, so that was disappointing.

Voice clip for the intro of course set this up nicely, and the racing announcer clips coupled with the racecar SFX gave the piece some tense moments. Another good execution of a trademark Rayza technique.

I'm not crazy about the synth used for the melody. Either it needs something to to be done to it, or something else should be used, because it got rather dull quickly. Some variation would have been nice as well.

Sound effects were pretty cool. I'm not usually a fan, but they worked in this particular mix, and the doppler effect on the cars was a nice touch.

My favorite part was the last run through of the melody at about 3:20. The background harmony added that nice little touch which was cool. Wish that had been done earlier, and more done to the end, with the amount of repetitions there were.

More old school Rayza, and I trusted him to provide the pure cheese back in the day; and here I got what I was looking for!

Arrangement-wise, it stays safe to the source, and sticks primarily with the writing for the first minute of it, though there manages to be some good expansions in regards to progression - and the Formula 1 sound clips brought in were similarly very tongue in cheek

The drum levels could've been better, not to mention the cheesy sound effects similarly being louder than the rest of the track, but for a mix that's 10 years old it feels very clean and well reachable if you're looking for something that's considerably more carefree in sound.

Overall, I really dig this - fits the thrill of Top Gear to a T :D
