  1. Thank you! That was one of my favorites as well. I did a bit of a harmonic trick in the middle where I used the same melody with different chords, and it felt like a new key. Still don't know what to call that technique today. :-)
  2. Looking forward to the great work you guys will bring! :-) Honestly, I did feel the same way about the Evaluators' position - this is a great change.
  3. Ah, I loved making this! The tradeoffs from one key to another was my personal favorite part to write. I also think that this ReMix more-or-less defines my go-to sound palette today! I didn't look at any other songs for sound design inspiration in this case. I kept the sound design inspiration internal to what made sense for this ReMix.
  4. I think he meant the shift into the solo having a change in tempo made it seem like the solo (regardless of instrument) came out of nowhere. But I understand that it can be read like that as well. --- I actually love this style you found for yourself, with a funky synth/guitar palette. Also love to see more Goemon ReMixes on the site. I have one in the pipeline from 2016. :-)
  5. That's what I've always loved about OCR. Y'all care about human interpretation, performance realism, personal touch, and other aspects of music that go underappreciated by the casual listeners out there. At first I thought the perspective towards AI-generated music was because of that philosophy, but I do understand that there is also the bit about unethical training practices. Good to see OCR still going strong, and I hope to continue seeing real music coming out from real artists, using real production efforts and/or real studio time!
  6. Feel free to share this with your friends :) This is a 1 HOUR continuous mix of special picks from my collection of atmospheric / electronic VGM ReMixes that I've written in the past 13 years! Great for stream listening, vibing throughout the day, etc. It's also time-stamped all the way through! 7. Thank you! I made these on a whim at first but it turned out to be a really fun 6 month project.
  8. What a great jam! I especially liked the drum fills and piano solos!
  9. This is a neat venture from the orchestral I usually know from ZackParrish, but he still brings that in around the middle which is cool!
  10. I never get tired of the man who WillRock us all. What a sick ending!
  11. This just says "classic" to me, but still brings modern production value! Despite McVaff losing an "e", he has in fact evolved
  12. It's cool to hear something in a minor key like this, but in a happy context! Also some tasteful tension around 2:30 in the brass.
  13. Tidy package makes sense! I like the bit of toying around with vocal samples, and a lot of things worked pitch-wise here, including the drums and said vocal samples.
